El cumplimiento de las sentencias de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos es una obligación que los Estados deben cumplir a través de diversas medidas de derecho interno y que presentan problemas que inciden en su eficacia. El derecho internacional puede colaborar con los Estados en esa tarea, pero para ello se requiere que operen ciertas modificaciones en la normativa interamericana que conduzcan a mejorar los niveles de cumplimiento al interior de los Estados parte.
The fulfillment of the Inter–American Court of Human Rights’ rulings –a legal obligation that the American States must endeavor through different kinds of domestic measures– is hindered by several issues. International Human Rights Law can contribute with the States in that basic objective, but for a successful accomplishment, certain reforms in the Inter–American human rights law must be done.
