Foreword to the dossier

Abstract

It is always a pleasure to invite readers to engage in a discussion, whether through a text or, as in this case, a debate. But here, the invitation and the pleasure are twofold, since the theoretical exploration of the articles gathered in this dossier comes with a practical twist. The authors' argumentative clarity serves to rigorously dissect the conceptual framework of hatred and anger, from their metaethical conditions to their normative and practical implications. But these texts also confront us with an unavoidable demand: that of politically confronting our emotions. Reading Lariguet in a situated way implies, precisely, accepting this challenge.
